Nanoporous Anodic Aluminum Oxide (AAO) has been proven to be an excellent substrate for cell culturing. Tunable nanoscale topology of AAO facilitates cell attachment, viability and proliferation, while high density nanopores enable delivery of nutrients and removal of metabolites.
